Fragments Press
I’m the managing editor of Fragments Press, a small, independent publisher established in 2024. The aim of Fragments is to forge and nurture connections between creativity and community.
Current publications:
Shared Territory (2026) Mark Ranger
This nature writing memoir from the edgelands charts a sequence of walks from Bartley Water’s mouth at Southampton Docks, to its widespread sources in the New Forest. It’s about the interconnectedness of people and nature, with subtlety, humour, and quiet grace.
Fragments Zine 1- 4 (2024) ed. Mark Ranger
So far we’ve collaborated with local people to make 4 seasonal zines capturing creativity and life near Southampton and the New Forest. Each edition features photography and writing from local people. In 2025. the zines and their photography formed an exhibition in The Nest Coffee House, Southampton. The zines were also included in the Health and Wellbeing collection at the Bodleian Library, Oxford.
Autumn ‘26
Before the year is out, Fragments Press will release another zine focused on ‘time’. We’ll also be releasing a redux version of my 2021 zine project Lines of Flight.
