I have long loved Mark’s work. I love the way he thinks and I love the way he is able to capture those thoughts on a page in beautiful, considerate, ever giving fashion.

I was very nervous about writing my memoirs. The whole thing seemed too big and scary to even start let alone finish. But I had so many stories from the old days and I didn’t want them to be lost. From my first chat with Mark, it all seemed possible. I’m so very proud of what I’ve achieved and love sharing the stories with my children and grandchildren.

What kept me reading was the combination of life stories - both your own and each of your guests - and how you merged them with the landscape. Thank you for sharing those vulnerabilities. In short, a triumph!

There was so much I wanted to do but I never had the confidence to go along to things on my own. I was so lonely during the week when my children were busy. Mark helped me research what local groups were about, and made me feel like I would be welcome there. We worked out how I’d get there and what I’d need. Now I always have my diary out because I’ve got so much on!
